Idaho Alcohol Seller Server Course On-Premise
This course provides you with the necessary knowledge and techniques needed to be a responsible seller of alcohol. Specifically, you will learn how to protect yourself and your establishment from liability; how alcohol affects your customers; how to recognize the effects of alcohol on your customers; how to prevent customers from becoming intoxicated; how to intervene when you need to refuse a sale to someone; how to prevent and deal with disturbances; how to accurately check IDs and recognize minors; how to prevent second-party sales; and how to refuse a sale.
Regulations by State of Idaho
Boise City Code 5-07 requires all servers (waiters, waitresses, bartenders, and managers of waiters, waitresses and bartenders) of alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, spirits, liquor, and any beverage containing alcohol) to complete an approved server training program.

City of Meridian Ordinance 09-1437 (effective June 1, 2010) created a requirement for mandatory server training.
Any person serving or selling any alcoholic beverage, including spirits, wine or beer for consumption on a licensed premise and any person managing those employees must complete an approved server training program within thirty (30) days of the date upon which he or she begins employment or operations at a licensed establishment, and shall maintain such certification at all times of employment, updating such certification as necessary. Servers shall include, but are not limited to: waiters, waitresses, bartenders, and managers of waiters, waitresses, or bartenders.
