IL BASSET State Requirements

Are you prepared for the new BASSET deadlines in Illinois?

Illinois Public Act 099-0046, which brought about new changes to BASSET, was passed into law last year. This law introduces new regulations that are designed to prevent minors from being served alcohol, reduce accidents and lawsuits at food establishments, and help reduce the occurrence of overly intoxicated persons. With this law come rolling deadlines based on population that will ensure that all alcohol servers, or anyone who checks ID’s for the sale of alcohol, have received mandatory BASSET certification by July 1, 2018.
