Find gainful employment in the greatest city in the world by enrolling in Learn2Serve’s New York Alcohol training program!
Learn2Serve’s alcohol seller and server training programs are approved by the Empire State Restaurant and Tavern Association. The certification obtained from this program will serve as the student’s proof of training for the state’s requirements for completing an alcohol training awareness program (ATAP).
Students can enroll in a Convenience Store essentials bundle or opt for one of the individual courses about on-premise alcohol training and the ABCs of New York State’s liquor laws. There is so much to learn from Learn2Serve’s alcohol training, from responsibly selling alcohol to protecting yourself and your establishment from any liabilities that may arise from the inappropriate sales and service of alcohol. For an enhanced learning experience, enroll in a course or two about food safety and handling, beer 101 and introduction to wine, improving your tips and tobacco seller training.
The New York State Liquor Authority considers alcohol training a factor in lightening one’s penalty for liquor law violations if the person who incurs the violation currently holds a valid certificate of completing an NYSLA-approved ATAP for license acquisition or renewal.
Learn2Serve’s alcohol training takes three to four hours to complete although you don’t have to complete it at one go. The training is self-paced, which only means that you can login on your account, take your course, stop at anytime and resume where you left off. Students have to obtain a 70 percent score in order to get their New York alcohol certification.
Students have to be 18 years old and older to be able to sell and serve alcohol in the state of New York. For further information on New York liquor laws, visit http://www.abc.state.ny.us.
The New York State Liquor Authority will consider training a mitigating factor if, at the time of violation, the person who committed violation held a valid certificate of completion or renewal from a certified alcohol training awareness program provider and the licensee diligently implemented and complied with training program.
Learn2Serve’s Alcohol Seller/Server On & Off Training is approved through the Empire State Restaurant and Tavern Association and will serve as a valid training certificate for the awareness program.
