Moving One Certification Level to the Next
How to Become SNA Certified
- You may change levels by meeting the additional academic education and specialized training hours for the new level.
- You must provide documentation of completed additional requirements.
- Specialized training requirements for new level must be met by your next re-certification date.
- Your renewal date will be changed to reflect the time of the level change.
- You may lower certification level by submitting the required CEUs for that level, along with your certification application and appropriate fee.
Current certified members may upgrade to a higher level of certification by documenting that they meet the requirements for the higher level minus the requirements they already meet by being certified at their current certification level. See upgrading chart (in Adobe Acrobat format). If you change levels (upgrade/downgrade), you will be given a new expiration date and will be expected to meet the continuing education requirements for the new level at that expiration date.
